Joining the GPO team has been a complete game changer for my career. From the top-down, it's clear that all GPOers respect each other, are always willing to help, acknowledge their colleagues, and are always striving to learn and grow. I've gotten to know some of the smartest, kindest people in the industry, and I have felt nothing but the utmost support from them as I push out of my own comfort zone and grow both personally and professionally. As a bonus, working remotely allows me the flexibility to travel and spend more time with friends and family!
GPO strikes the perfect balance of a hands-off but supportive management style. My supervisor checks in often to ensure my workload is manageable (I know I can always call out for help), but I don't feel pressured to share what I am working on every second of every day. I'm encouraged to cross-train on other teams, which supports my professional development and keeps me engaged in new ways. I also feel supported by the health, PTO, and WFH benefits that allow me to be my best self outside of work.
As a long-time freelance resource, I was able to get a comprehensive view of GPO “from the outside.” So, when I was given the opportunity to join full-time, it was an easy decision. Leadership is both responsive and proactive in creating an environment for the team to succeed. There is a genuine focus on work/life balance and the people are remarkably talented and a joy to work with.
